After not driving my SLK 350 for 6 weeks due to crapy weather and a bout with the flu, the temperature finally reached 50 F in Chicago today. I picked up my car from the storage garage and went for a nice liesurly drive. On the return trip, it was top down and heat scarf on. WOW. I'm as excited as I was when I first picked up the car. Thanks to all of you for sustaining me with your postings the past 6 weeks.

Yup, that air scarf is really nice. It was 55F and sunny when I left work yesterday so I cranked up the scarf and dropped the top. What a ride home.

Like Mel, I've also not driven the car for 6 weeks UNTIL TODAY. Wow, what a release! I'd forgotten what a thrill it is to drop the top, punch the accelerator and crank up the radio. The SLK320 I've been driving is no slouch, but the 350 is in a class by itself. []

I'm with Mel and mbslk350, 54 degrees in Chicago today and I've had the top down all day. Airscarf was on low and working great. Honestly, I think I was so excited to have the top down in this milder weather we're having that I didn't really need the airscarf. What a blast! Drove all over the city and took the long routes to do errands. I even drove to the burbs for no good reason other than to get some starbucks with the gf. Wait, but there are lots of starbucks in the city... oops memory lapse. [] Anyhow, pleased to say I am over 800 miles on the odo and almost through the break-in after putting over 200 miles on the car today. Can't wait to feel what this thing can really do and hoping that the weather will further help with this cause.

I feel almost wimpy saying I will hit 5K miles tommorrow, and have had top down for close to half, with Euro delivery and then California driving here...airscarf proven great, but some days even warm enough that airscarf was not even thought of...[)][)][)]

I am in the same lucky position to have great weather for a few days now in the middle of winter so its top down driving for me too!

By the way, anyone waiting for their car in my area is open to get a "fix" from my SLK - I am sure I could always buy more books from far away booksellers....[]

Yes, I occasionally get to SF. May have a meeting there mid-April. Will let you know. Would love to join one of your monthly meet & rides but since it is really a weekend trip for me will have to schedule it after I actually have my car in hand.[^]

He should have had his "Air Scarf" turned on. Oh, that's right, Mustangs don't have an Air Scarf. I just had three days of top down mid-winter driving thanks to that option. Mel

Last week we had some great weather in Denver and every day in the upper 40s I had the top down. I also found out that 22 seconds takes forever when stopped at a light. I had to hold up traffic waiting for the top to get down.

The only other car I saw with its top down was a new white Lexus SC. Oh what the convential car drivers are missing.
