So i bought some new wheels for the 1979 240D today, so i guess the collector plate idea is going out the window, and hot sedan idea is comming into play.

They are 16x7.5 Lorinser's (i dont know what model they are)

Now i need some lowering springs & bilstein HD's

What do you guys think?

With 16's you need at least 50's even that will look small up front if you don't drop it.

I don't think they'll look good at all on a W123 IMO but very nice wheels indeed.

i haven't used my photoshop for quite a while, too busy with work, and too tired after work, so someday soon i will get back into doing a full scale insane chop like i used too.

Those are pretty nice rims, the lorinsers, havent' seen on a W123, pics ASAP

Beautiful rims IMHO the best MB style around.

They look like they are in very good original condition.

What offset are they. Et??

I spent a fair amount of cash bringing mine up to this condtion.

I was thinking of doing a black rim on a chrome lip to match the car. (Pictured in sig)

They are great looking rims, i need the center caps like your guys have, mine look haggard. (Gold benz star on a chrome backing)

Chrome like these?

IMHO chrome looks sensational, just expensive to restore.
Thats why I went for the polished alloy.

Yeah just like that, but the inner lip where the lorinser badge is is black. But some chrome is chipping and what not thats why i needed a repaint.

What size are you guys wheels ? i cant tell in the pictures but will mine have th lip (dish) or will they be flatter then yours ? mine are only a 7.5 so im thinking it should have some dish, how wide are yours ?

Im not sure what the offset is, im to lazy to check, but they are for older mercedes the ad said, 107, 126, 124. if its no good ill get spacers.

7.5" is not very wide at all, alot of factory mercedes wheels are wider. My friends factory early 90's SL wheels are 8" wide.
