The paint on my E55 was not bad, but up-close was terrible. The texture was worse.
There was like metal filings and other impurities imbed on my paint....
So I decided to take this on with the esteemed, "Clay Bar".....

Wow, that stuff is good!
I did the roof, hood & trunk lid. I still can't believe how much crap was
on my paint??? The finish is so smooth now.
Can't wait to do the rest of the car.

Good thing is, you've protected your paint by removing those harmful contaminants, and it'll be an easier job next time.

Claybar + girlfriend & coffee cup

First time I detailed my then girlfriend's car ('99 Camry) I claybared, polished and waxed it. She walked out, set a cup of coffee on the hood, it slide all the way back to the rear glass and tumbled off glass and off the trunk deck. We still laugh about it.:surrender:
