I bought a 1978 w116 450 sel; cant get it started. K Jetronic fuel delivery path?

I was reading a Bosh K Jetronic manual someone posted and I found a descrepency in the documentation of the flow of fuel from the tank to the fuel distributor. The manual showed the fuel goes from the tank to the pump then to the accumulator then to the filter and finally to the distributor.

My car is set up differently. The fuel goes from the tank to the pump to the filter then to the accumulator and the finally to the fuel distributor. Does the difference in setup matter? I installed a new pump,filter and accumulator the same way it was installed in the car.
