I cannot get a straight answer out of anyone. My turn signals work intermittantly. It seems like when it's hot the signals don't work. If the car sits in the hot sun all day the signals won't work, if I have the heat on they won't work. If it's cold out (like first start up in the morning) they work fine. When they stop working the hazards don't work either. BOTH DEALERS in the columbus area have NO CLUE as to what I need to replace. I've heard I need to replace the hazard switch, I've heard I need to replace the flasher (I've been saying this all along but CANNOT FIND IT!!!!!), I've heard I need to replace the big combo relay in the fuse box (huge black one) and it's like 180 bucks. WHAT DO I DO?!?!?! I hear clicking on the back of the cluser (when the signals actually work) and I can't see anything that is removable on it.

This is SO frustrating no one knows what to do including me, and I still don't have working signals. It's dangerous and against the law to not have them. You can see my dilemma... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Yeah I did. I'm still kinda stumped. I did order a new hazard switch from fastlane, more and more I suspect it is indeed the hazard switch. Because the few times that I can get it working again is by turning the hazards on and off then the turn signals work. The hazard switch was only 20 bucks.

Wanna trade my 190D for your 16V? ;)

I replaced the hazard switch. It didn't work until I started the car. But I think it hasn't solved the problem. I heard that when I engage the hazard switch a relay clicks under the hood (the big 180 dollar one) but the lights don't come on. So it's what ever is clicking behind the cluster. But I can't find it on the cluster!!!

Well I replaced the hazard switch. Cost 20 bucks. Didn't solve the problem. I call the dealer again, I get a smarter tech this time. He pulls out schematics for the car, the big combo relay under the hood does indeed have the turn signal flasher inside. So I need a new one of those. I am going to get one from mercedesshop.com's fastlane for 65.
