Well, this is what I would do. My 190E had a problem with the winshield washer fluid, it worked, and it didn't, couldn't figure otu what. So I took everything apart, thought I would need a new pump, it turned out that it was a rusty ground connector. Cleand it up, everythign was good as new. There is two of those undear each headllight, and in a few other places I have yet to discover. I would grap a multimeter and check the connections before replacing any parts at all, especially if you hear clicking, which means the relay works, and it must be the wireing. It would make sense to me that the relay starts clicking after the switch is engaged right? so the switch has to be good as well.
