Well I finally have power, that means I can share what Irma did to my Coupe. :|





Amazingly, after having a giant tree limb fall on top of it, all I ended up with was a few small dents on the trunk, C pillar, and rear fender and some paint issues. Limbs were even on the rear window, which didn't smash.

Was already planning to take my coupe in for some rust issues on my roof, but looks like they'll have some extra work.

Sorry for the damage, but hopefully friends and family are OK. We got lucky in Pensacola. Sounds like your coupe was fairly lucky. Maybe the paintless dent repair will work. Good luck.

By the way Enjoy the AC tonight! I was 2 weeks after Ivan without power. I had a generator, but no AC. We now have a room AC we can throw in the bedroom window when the next one comes.

It likely would, but I've been advised not to bother, due to various factors with and around my insurance. Sometimes it's best not to bother making a claim and just eat the cost.

Ouch Chris, that's ugly. But it could have been much worse. As suggested, try PDR first.
My DD had a big dent (either someone opened the door of the adjacent car too hard or a shopping cart slammed into my car). Looked like I was in for a visit to a body-shop. But PDR worked beautifully -- the good guys are expensive, but their work is magical.

I've got a horizontal "crease dent" on the trunk next to the license plate area--about four inches long--not really bad, but definitely noticeable. Is this something the PDR people could correct?

Heartbreaking. Silver is a great color to buff the hell out of though and see if you can avoid repaint, which will inevitably be much shinier than the rest of the OEM paint

Dentless Paint repair is certainly gonna get a look at. Not sure how much a repaint for the spot on the trunk can be avoided, same with that rust spot on my roof.

It sucks, but it could have been much worse.

We were out of power for 9 days. My 1990 420SEL didn't make it, the S500 just had a couple of minor scratches in the trunk.
