Hi guys,

I want to take out the medical kit cover, but without damaging it, as I might put it back in at some point. Car is a W124 coupe.

Looked a bit at at it, but can't figure it out.

Maybe you have some ideas. Thanks!

Have any ideas?!

Thanks!

Unfortunately it is not removable. You must break it off. I've had the deck lid off and can confirm on the rear side it is just molded in.

OK, I am back with pics.
This is the little tab that releases it from the rear deck.
This is the closed/locked position

this is what is extracted when the tab mentioned above is in the closed/locked position.

This is the tab in the open/unlocked position

and the little flap thingie is now retracted, making the removal possible.

Notice I said possible but not easy. Make sure you take your time, as the plastics in the rear deck have been exposed to sun and thus brittle.

Yeah I love the med kit back there. Mines still untouched. But cool you were able to get it out without any damage
