Hey,

it should be quite simple. You need a long Allen type tool. If you look closely inside the vent you will see there is a nut there. Get this off and you should then be able to pull out the vent. Replacing the bulb is easy, just pull the old one off and push the new one in.

This is a job I must do on my car too, just bought the bulbs this weekend but I haven't got the right Allen tools.

Actually, here is a very good link for this. It details how to remove the whole dash but there are a few parts on how to remove the vent too.

Hi
To take out the airvent, you have to diconnect the passenger airbag (under passenger foot well)
Take out airbag, because a screw is hidden there, holding the vent.
Unscrew the screw with allenwrench inside the vent. The vent comes out now and you can change the bulb.
Install in reverse.
The screw for the airbag is about in the middle of the
airbag housing.
If there is a better way I wouldt like to know, because with out removing the hidden screw you dont get the airvent out.
I also did disconnect the battery, because if you handle the airbag wrong you get the SLR light which only can be shut of by a mechanic/dealer with a special tool.
Like I wrote if there is a better way let me know.
Best wishes for the repair
Uwe

Uwe, I think neither of us has the airbag. I will have a look inside the glove compartment to see if there are any screws holding the vent in place.

Thanks for your input.
