Replacing the left rear plastic slide in the window regulator the regulator is removed with the motor all in one. im trying to open up the window switch connector to remove the green wire and black wire from it to allow me to remove the regulator without cutting the wires and can’t. How the f..k do you do that. Really frustrated in New Jersey. HELP!

Darn, the memory of that is how foggy! The switch actually fits through its aperture iirc. Although it doesn't seem like it would

Ian your thinking of the sec setup. I’m working on my left rear door on the 91 560SEL. The connector has to be opened up to separate the to wires for the motor as there are two harnesses stemming from the switch connector.

gogi, can you post a pic? I'm only thinking of the standard connectors like on the back of headlights. On those you just use a small screwdriver to pop the back off but I'm sure you know that, hence the request for a pic.

Ohhh I see, I checked your profile quickly and it said SEC. Even foggier then, it's been ages since I did my rear regulator on the SE!

I was trying to be gentle and not break the back of the connector
In the video GreenT posted the cover is already off and sort of answers my question. You see I thought the cover was permanently attached on one side and only opens from opposite side but it looks like that’s not the case. Ooops got it, it’s off

That is not where you remove the wires. There is a 2 wire terminal block on the lower part of the door. 2 wires from the motor screw in one side and 2 wires going to the switch are on the same block. Mike
