Nebraska 91oct $3.89
Do you guys have higher octane fuel than 91?

Fuel over here ranges from 96/97 octane (the cheaper fuel) to 102 (that's stuff was £2.50 a litre last time I checked!). I use 99 Octane fuel which, as I say, is now around the £1.30 per litre mark.

$4.09 !! I guess I made the right decision 4 years ago and bought a brand new Honda Civic for everyday work cummute. It only required 87 octane and got 38 mpg !!

$4.39 at the station half a block from my apartment. Good thing I got rid of the V8 Durango. Then again, two years ago it cost me $75 to fill that rig, so I figure I have a little ways more to go before I would start paying the same for my CLK.

Are you ready for this?!.......

.....£1.30 per litre!!

That's around $2.60 to you guys.

:crybaby2:
That is about $10.40 per gallon!! Which is about 5.20 quid per gallon, hey "only" a buck more than here. If median earnings in the U.K are about the same as US you are not paying that much more. Now for a U.S man to go over there an drive for a week, it'd be torture.

Do any of you Chicago guys remember just 8 years ago gas was about $1/gallon for regular?
I have lived in or near Chicago for all my 36 years, and I remember coming across a gas reciept about 4 years ago from around 1996, where the price was 1.16/gal. I stuck it on a nail in my basement to remind me how crazy the fuel prices were when oil hit $70 a barrel, and gas was about 2.50. It dropped soon after, only to soar to $126 and now we have 4.30/gal gas prices here. The last 5 years have been evil for gas prices.

I'm glad my CLK320 is easy on the gas! My family with Explorers and Windstars are jealous.

Yeah, you're right about the earnings, it does pretty much balance out. But it sucks, eh?!

Luckily, I don't drive many miles at all so I don't really feel it TOO much.
