I have a 1977 Mercedes W123 280 C, a car that was only made in 3704 copies.

Its rusty, the underside has holes but the wheel weels are ok,
the body is rusty where the holes are for the chrome trim, the interiour looks very nice for a 26 year old car.

Is this car worth anything out of the ordinary because so few cars with a carb were built?

Condition will be more of a factor than the production number I think. The dual downdraft Solex 4 A 1 carburetors are always in need of some adjustment and leak too. Rebuild kits are available however.

I think edmclass is right, it doesn't really depend on how rare the car is, but more on the condition it is in. If the car has a lot of rust on body and underneath it, I think it isn't that much worth anymore.

All the bad things on a car determine the worth more than all the good things.
