Hi.. I have seen pictures of several limo conversions and believe that quiete a few limo's were made. However, this it the first time I am hearing of a turbo diesel limo... most of the limo's were made from either 500SEL or 560SEL's.

Actually, there is a member of this forum who has a rare 126 limo, and is always on the lookout for another. There seems to be a problem with the structual rigidity on many 126 limos. Be sure to have all the extention welds checked for any weakness.

I heard of an 1000SEL which I believe was a factory made W126 limo that was made to order. Mostly went to government use.

TurboDiesel limo - that's a first.

13,830 SDL's were made in two years. Of those that were converted, obviously very, VERY few. Certainly less than 100.
