My car runs fine, I'm just thinking ahead.
Shitty diner grease killed the injection pump on my last car (524td). I've since switched to very clean oil from upscale local restuarants but I'm planning in my head what kind of job it would be to do the swap on my 85 300D.

How hard of a job is it?
I'm a very competant mechanic and have lots of tools.

Thank you!!

PS. I have begun installing my Greasecar kit and hope to have it done with some pics in the next couple weeks.

The swap it self is easy, straight forward. Adjusting on the otherhand...
There're 3 ways to (fine) adjust it, for details look it up at Skinnerbox. It's all there.
The first time you should take your time.

It's about a three hour job, and not terribly difficult. I found that it was way easier with the steering gear out of the way, but I only did that because I needed to change it anyway. The gear itself is a pretty easy job, so you may find that works for you also.
