I am installing a Comand System in my 2000 E320 4Matic Wagon - Can anyone shed some light on how to remove the existing radio, a/c controls and wood trim bezel? I have the ash tray removed and the small storage compartment removed - any help will be appreciated.
I've successfully made two "keys" by cutting them
out of plastic board, found that...old compact disc
is good for it. Cut them out using good quality
scissors. If you have "swiss army knife" Victorinox,
small blade will serve as radio key well - tried that.
it is actually convenient to have two of them but
just one will do as well - you will have to do little
rocking after one unlatches, keep the radio/ac up,
unlatch the other one. No fancy stuff here.
