I don't see level markers (high/low) when I remove the cap. Should the fluid be filled to the top of the reservoir? I have a 2006 R350. Can I top off with just distilled water, or should I top off with 50/50 water/coolant?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

You should top off with 50/50.

I think you are supose to put the level at the little tab that you will see when you take off the cap, directly down. That is what I was told.

Some coolant loss will be noticeable due to evaporation. It is suggested to topp off with water instead of coolant. If there is a large amount that is needed to topp off, might want to get the cooling checked out due to possible leakage. The coolant is G05-you can find it also at auto parts store or pay a little bit more and get it from the dealer, but the same stuff.

Correct, inside the header tank is a small plastic extrusion and the top of this is the level.

For the coolant properties, are there additives to prevent cavitation?
