My model is 2011 B class. It has only two buttons for fixing the view of the mirrors but it does not electeically fold. Can I not manually shut it? I tried with little force but it wont fold. Very scared to push it too hard as I might snap it.

I would appreciate any advice please

U wont snap it, it needs force. Because it wasnt made to Fold, it was made to fold in case of accident to avoid breaking off the mirror and causing trauma to pedestrians etc.

If you force it to close on a regular basis, would that be damaging in the long run if not so equipped to fold automatically ?

50-100 foldings sure wont hurt anything. I see it people doing it all the time near the place i live. But i wouldnt be doing it all the time.
