Having searched and searched, still unable to find an answer to this.

If you have disabled your ABS brake system, two questions:

1. How did you do it?
2. After disabling ABS, did your brakes work as normal?

Thanks for the info.

Hi,
you may open the black cover of the ABS hydraulik unit and pull the relais, that all.

Best regards from Germany

As a follow up, I removed the black cover (one screw) and removed the two relays. The ABS is now disabled but the yellow antilock light remains on. I will pull the bulb.

The brakes work as normal.(y):D

Thank you! My ABS hasn't worked since I bought the car. I've been meaning to work on it, but there always seems to be something that pops up and takes priority. I'm looking forward to not having pulsating brakes when I start driving the car!

The ABS warning light remaining on constant is a common issue - and i have never got to the bottom of what is causing it.
My white coupe has always had the same issue despite many attempts to remedy it - so your not alone haha
Perhaps it needs to be one of those deep dive threads as to the components and what triggers the warning light

Mine only comes on after a short while of 110ish or more. It pops on then. One day I'll get around to checking it out. It resets with the ignition.

With an elderly Volvo once, as a workaround/temporary 'solution', I have used a short piece of black electrical tape without having to go through dash panel removal...
