Over the weekend, I guess I left my hood open too long, because at some point the padding/insulation under the hood came unglued and was just hanging by one corner.

What is the best way to re-attach this? Is there a particular glue/adhesive that works best?

Also, do I have to remove the hood, or is there a way to do it while leaving the hood on?

Thanks!

If the pad is old, you replace it. If it's relatively new, follow the suggestions given on the MBCA forum.

Check with autohausaz to see if they have your pad. When removing it, it is a good idea to have a mask or respirator. The pad breaks down to very small particles that are easily inhaled. I found that using a plastic scraper helps. (The kind you used to put up dry wall mud.) Use adhesive 3M 8090 to secure the hood pad.

Assuming the pad is still viable, use heat resistant 3M Spray Adhesive. You can find it at most hardware and auto parts stores.
