I bought my SLK350 without the trim package thinking I did not want it [xx(] but now I think I would like to change out the trim. I have checked with my local dealer and they will sell me the pieces separately but not as a kit which is ok as I don't want the steering wheel just the other pieces, so my question is does anyone know how the trim on the dash, door pull handles, and emergency hand brake are attached and how to remove them? also I plan on getting an all wood knob for the 7 speed automatic shifter and was wondering if anyone else has found one that would match the MB trim wood.

Thanks

Most of the trim can be removed quite easily. It's mostly clipped on. Not sure exactly which pieces the wooden trim replaces tho'. If it's the bits that are under the tacho, you can pull them off with your fingers for example...

How easy is it to remove the gear shift knob on the 7 speed automatic and the leather insert on top of the hand brake? does anyone have a suggestion of a place that sells these pieces in Burl walnut?
