So far my 2003 C240 has been great. The one thing I don't like about it is the horn. Let's just says it sounds like my dads Buick.

I had some Italians horns in the past, I think Fiamm, and I really like that sound. A nice two tone sounds that really works well together and sounds loud.

The current stock horn is very dull and low tone.

Any recommendation that would be a bolt in replacement?

Thanks,
Victor

Hell just get a train horn off of Ebay. Everyone will hear you atleast from a few miles away.

Perhaps I should mention it, I don't want anything tacky.

I'm not looking for Hugga-Hugga, General Lee, air horns, etc.

I'm looking for something that's a bolt in replacement but sounds a little better than the muffled low tone of the C240 (2003).

Thanks,
Victor

Turned out to be a bad horn.

Just figured out why the sound was so dull. Only the 330Hz horn was working. The 500Hz horn was open.

I'm staying stock on this, or possibly same size Hella. The OEM is Hella.
