PO had bypassed heater core. After reconnecting it there is a slight coolant leak evident in a right side drain tube next to the transmission tunnel under the car. I suspect a leaky core but could it be a hose or hose fitting on that side of car?
is there a way to inspect without removing the entire dash?
Thanks again for all the help from this forum

The hoses are visible in the blower and cowl vent area of the car. I had a similar leak on my black 1973 and solved it simply by tightening the hose clamps.

The heater core is at the front (ie cabin side) of the heater box so you may be able to check for a leak by removing the lower heater box -doesn't need dash removal. Check all the hose clips first though.

leak spied

After reconnecting the bypassed heater core I've identified a leak where the supply line turns into an aluminum pipe and bends into a black plastic housing. it is at this junction I can see coolant leaking. Can someone advise me on this situation?
looking for a picture of this system
Thanks
