hood ornament

: I dislike wearing labels outside my clothing and acting as a manufacturer's tout. To this end I would like to get rid of the hood ornament on a C320. Are there alternative devices that will fit in the hole? <p>If you want to change out the hood ornament to the hood emblem, the easiest way to do this is to go buy the emblem, use some 3m or equivalent double sided <b>foam</b> tape (vs double sided tape, the foam is about 1.5 mm thick and helps conform to the hood shape) place the foam tape on the underside of the emblem and trim to within 1-2 mm from the edge ( there is a raised lip around the circumference of the emblem). before sticking on the emblem, 1st use small pieces of masking tape to center the emblem top/bottom/sides, the emblem will cover the existing depression with about a 3.5 mm wider radius when centered.

Or at least the trunk lid emblems?<p>I can see this being easy to deal with in terms of clothing (eg: Tommy Stinkfinger et. al.), but isn't it just a little too much effort with a car? Everyone's going to know what you are driving anyway...<br>

I asked during a service visit and they did it for free, There is a plug that fits, or used to fit in the hole that was the base of the star emblem. Don't know why but I like looking at the little star. It helps me to determine range to target and whether I should be using rockets or guns.
