Hey guys this is my first post on this forum so I'm not really sure where things are and how things work but I recently inherited a '98 SLK230 from my dad a year ago. I crashed into the back of a tow truck? The irony right? Well good thing the only thing damaged was the hood and I searched on google for a replacement but is a replacement what I need? Unforunately it was on 1 of the grooves and it was carved 1 inch deep for about 1 foot long. I don't know if it can be filled to match the certain bump I'm sure all you guys know about or if I should just buy a new hood and if you guys had any links to any of them. Thanks.

Parts.com has the best prices online for MB genuine parts. Also check local salvage yards, they have a network of parts so they can locate one for you. Also, check getparts.us, it's sort of a search engine for salvage yards, works for some parts, not others, but it's helped me before.
