I installed new hitch wiring on my 2003 ML500. All went fine, matched up the cords and almost everything thing works okay. When the car is on, everything lights up and works as it should. When I turn off the car, the tail light still stays lit up for about 30 seconds on the end of the tail light connector...after 30 seconds, it starts to blink. I have double checked the connections and they are fine, even emailed Hopkins thinking it was a defective product, sent that back and got another one, same thing...has anyone seen this before or know what to look for? I can pull the fuse out and it cuts power to the module, cutting all power to the trailer. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
