So I had a flat tire Last week. I put on the spare but it needed air so I turned on the car and plugged up my air compressor. When I went to put air in the tire there was a hissing noise coming from behind the tire. Might it be some kind of vacume leak cause it's not the tire. I'm just trying to get an idea of where to start. Any clues?

Probably just your noisy fuel pump/pumps that sound like mad bees.

Fuel pumps. They're behind a plastic cover just inboard and ahead of the RH rear tire.

Thanks for the insight. I would have never guessed the fuel pump could be the problem. Is there something wrong with it that's making it loud like that? Will a new one be quiet?
