hi everyone I recently did I transmission oil flush and new filter. However when I press the gas I hear a hiss coming from the MAF area. Removed the MAF and the hiss still persists from the hose leading from the side of the MAF to the engine. I also noticed a small hose disconnected but I'm unsure where it needs to go. Is this likely the culprit? Pic is attached. Thanks

Figured out where the hose connects. Gasket on intake tube leading to throttle body is worn. Replacing and will update

What vehicle do you have? I noticed that in your second picture that you’re missing a breather hose, did you take that off?

edit: Yes that hose in your hand goes into a small hole by the rear passenger side of the intake I believe

Yes I did remove it. Should've mentioned that. Good catch.

Is there supposed to be a gasket on the throttle body? The hissing sound was coming thru there and I've removed it but I do not see any gasket....

Edit: Called my "I f'ed up" mechanic and he said yes there's supposed to be one there. Overnighting a new one and will update.

Yeah, how come you didn't see the old gasket? Unless it was stuck and dirty that you couldn't tell.

Just wondering, it's odd that you're missing that gasket.

How long have you had the car for?

Quick update. Problem solved. New rubber o-ring on intake side of TB did the trick.
Now onto the tight power steering heh. The joys of owning a 15 year old car.
