Hi all, on my 1997 s320 just rebuilt antenna gears, that the tab usually brakes off. Also replaced feeder tensioner and new mast. Fed mast in manually by turning wheel on motor, installed back in car but it only raises.
when you turn radio off it does not retract. I removed mast, turned radio on you can hear motor run for 12 sec. When you turn radio off motor does not run... any ideas ? control board ? if so where would I get one ...Thanks, Nick

I just went through this on my 420 .I repaired the broken tab but it would not run .Removed the c/b and cleaned off the white sealer and found a burnt tracer from one of the wire terminals .repaired ,Put it back in and it would run up but not down . Removed the board again and using a magnifying glass found one of the IC units had a crater blowing out of it and another tracer fried . Had a friend of mine locate the needed part (50 cent ) and repair the tracer and it is back working like new .
