My car this morning crossed the 155,000 mile mark on the odometer. I went ahead and filled out the High Mileage Award Application, had it verified by a local dealer and emailed it out to MBUSA.

I can't imagine I'm the first to request this badge. Has anybody else requested one? If so, where did you place it on your grill (if you placed it on the grill at all)?

Thanks for that, I have 2 here that deserve that, will apply for them .................

This quote was from that page .............. WOW , just WOW ..............

Quote:- The current Mercedes-Benz High Mileage champ is Gregorios Sachinidis, a Greek taxi driver who holds the known record of more than 2.8 million miles in his 1976 Mercedes-Benz 240D.

Our W203 C Class has 185,000 + miles, and my W638 V Class has over 200,000 miles on it :wink

My Customers locally have two 2007 W639 Vito Minibuses that currently have almost 400,000 miles, a 2003 Mk1 Sprinter with 500,000 on it, and a 2010 E Class with 175,000 on it.

Does anyone know does this cost anything ?? My customers would appreciate me doing this for them ;)

I'll ask my local Dealer ;)

Never thought I'd be the one to show something MB Related that would be considered new to this crowd... lol...

I do still have my first award from my W210. Assuming nothing has changed, you get a very nicely presented badge for the car along with a certificate. No cost at all - just takes a while to be sent is all.

The form can be found here:
http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalAssets/pdfmb/highmileageaward.pdf

Fill out the form, and just leave the Dealer lines blank unless you know which one you are going to and want to fill out some of the information before hand. All the Dealer is doing is just signing that they saw your car, and double checked that the mileage is true. There is no dealer code. Just the name and signature of someone at the dealership.

I just went to my local dealer before 11AM on a weekday - I was in and out in probably 5 minutes.

Only thing I did different was I scanned and emailed my application to email listed on the bottom of the form.

Yea you can get the badge you don’t need to be first owner
Our 2003 S430 has the badge. I put it right in the center of the grille. It has 164,500 miles.

Also going to get it for our 2003 S600, as it just clicked over 181,000 miles. Since that car has Distronic, center-of-grill installation isn't an option, so it will go on the lower right.

I bought all of our MB's used and am thus not the first owner. MB has no problem with this. Why do it? Personally, I think it's actually kinda cool. :)

Just out of curiosity, did you find out what UK or European or RoW folks have to do to get the award?
Nope, my local Dealership have never heard of it ............................................
