Well I started the old girl after her long winters nap, & it happened the high idle. I started right up, then revved at 12000, after a half mile run it came down a bit but still over 10000 the vacuum meter is pined to the left so i would suspect no massive leaks.I read there is a controller under passenger carpet & the ovp. If you could steer me to a post that would help me Its appreciated

Pull up psgr carpet, to move the false floor with 10m plastic nut, and center right us a black relay the size of a pack of cigarettes. Lift it up straight and it will be tight. Solder joints most likely cracked.

If vac is good, either icv is dirty or relay in floor is bad, GENERALLY.

The ds valve cover his a hose that connects to icv. All those issues need to be clean, and the metal the vc hose connects to prior to icv has a tiny orafice that gets plugged, clean with needle, carb cleaner on cold engine. Clean icv with carb cleaner, it should shake an click

So many possibilities.. But I'd do the above and clean the idle valve first.
I'd start with the idle control valve first also. If the car sits for an extended period the material that collects in there tends to 'dry out' and cause the valve to be 'sticky'.

An occlusion in that calibrated port in the idle air distribution manifold shouldn't have any effect on the quality of the engine idle. A blockage would automatically be compensated for by other parts of the system.

I mention that as a matter of overall airflow. Mine upon purchase, had significant greasy buildup in there, along with bad ICV, broken ICV electrical wired 4 inches up, bad solder inside the plastic electrical plug making it intermittent and ultimately the relay shit the bed about a year after owning. The upper manifold was replaced and all rubber and vac hoses/connectors were new so that was my issue. Wish I could just cross all that EGR system with a fabricated hose out the bottom of the engine bay and be done with the "pollution control" (like I did with the cat :D)

Something else to consider on the ICV: There is a small green hose the connects the rubber bits. Be sure you position that straw properly betwix the rubber as not to be too far right or left of center, it will restrict airflow.
