http://imageevent.com/ranchoblanco/misc3 there are about 10 pics of a car 250 high compression head i picked up and got rebuilt and checked to install on my 404 and never did, the old head is a army unimog 404 i got a junker just to put side by side to the high compression 250 car head to show the difference between the ports and the volume of the combustion chambers of the 2 umimog and 250 car type head. Does anybody have a extra head i can buy the timing chain idler from, or can somebody tell me where or how to buy a tool to remove the timing chain idler and tensioner off that old junker head so i can install it on the 250 high compression head?? I am also looking for a timing chain and gaskets for the unimog 404 from a local supplier like autozone napa, anybody got a part number for the timing chain or no what year to ask for to get one coming, i hate to order from the coasts its so far from mee. Also who has actaully installed a high compession head on a unimog and is this head one of the ones they used to convert with?? one pic has the numbers on the head to id it, thanks in advance, i would sell this head if anybody is interested but i like to complete it with a new or good used idler and chain tensioner, who has any ideas or parts, i will be selling off my unimog 404 german with the winch and 52 inch tires soon as i get it painted and the new stock head and timing chain installed. thanks in advance, that imageevent site is clickable so one can blow up the pics to look at ports and different volumes of the car 250 vs the mog 404 m180 head.

im inclined to say that that head is not going to be compatible with the mog timing chain parts etc. The High compression head I got used the exact same timing chain parts. Basically it is identical to a mog head, but has a smaller combustion chamber. My head goes from stock 7.0:1 to 8.7:1

Not sure where that was. Maybe it's on rockymountainmoggers?

Anyone else got a guess where this list of head swappables is?
