Hello, newbie here with a 2003 sl500, is there a way to make the high beams stay on all time not only when flashing to pass? It was a mod I did on my 2002 ml500,but can't find nothing about the sl.

They don't, just the xenon go from low to high!
When you say Xenon, do you mean the HID light?

Maybe difference in models but my 2011 has HID low beams and then conventional bulb for high beam, When you click the stalk forward to turn on the high beam the HID doesn't change (because it has no low/high) just stays on and then the high beam also comes on. When you pull the stalk back for low beams, the high beam bulb goes off leaving you with just the HID.

Yes, but I think in 2003 they are called "bixenon", were they are both high and low by means of a mechanical device moving inside the headlights, and the conventional center lighting is only for passing signals, Mather of fact, I have a 2002 ml500 that comes like this from factory, and I have to modify it so when you put it in high, the conventional center lighting also comes on.

OK, I knew the "peanut" headlights had differences, for one my low beams are projectors. Sounds like you might have a headlight control module that's gone bad or your stalk may have gone bad. Only other thing I could think of right off my head would be check to make sure that it doesn't have different fuses for passing lights and the regular high beams.

The change I want to make is we live in the country in a rural area and I'd like to know if there is a way to set the aux driving lights to remain on even when the high beams are turned on.
