I was trying to use my High Beams a few nights ago, and they wouldn't come on. I don't know if its the light or if its the Controls.

How would I get it working?

I rewired mine when I got the car...the wires were falling apart! Anyway, there is a resistor in line with one of the lights (I recall it being the high beams) and it was burned out. It is not shown in the schematic btw.

So first, I'd check voltage on the white wire (and/or white/black depending on which side) to insure you have 12 volts when the high beams is on. If you do, remove the light assembly and replace the resistors. If you don't it's in the illumination control module.

On second thought, check the fuses on the side first ;)

If you use the "passing flash" option on the left stalk, do they come on?

When you try to turn on the high beams, do you get a bulb malfunction?

If no to both of those, and assuming the fuse options play out in the negative, then my first thought would be the stalk (combination switch).

Good luck.

If the headlight wiring is original, the insulation within each of the enclosed headlamp units is probably cracked off and you have a short.

You can buy aftermarket projector headlamps for around $250 (recommend DEPO) or you can rewire using this kit.
