Is there a conversion kit for our mercedes for HID ultra blue lights with an 240d type headlight? IF so where is it located?

If you go there and then enter your vehicle, they should have a kit. I was just browsing through their products once for my 1980 300D, and I saw that they DO have a Xenon conversion kit for my car, so they'll probably have one for yours too. I think it runs around $500.

thanks i saw it but will that fit my large headlamps? or is it just a casing, and that other converison to the european lights that are square does that look right on my year car? i haven't saw that before, i wonder what that'll look like but it costs like 600 for that kit. and the HID's are pretty sweet.
I'm not quite sure,

They say it's available for "all" vehicles, and since yours was made with the round American headlights, I'm guessing it should work. If you ask them, they might know.

As far as converting to Euro headlights, I'm the only person I know of that opposes the idea. That's a good question to ask. Personally, I like the big, round American headlights. It makes the car look a little more old-fashioned, but in a good way. I think the Euro lights are good because of the better lighting they give, but I think they don't look too good on the 240 and 300D's. I don't know, it just doesn't look "natural" for some reason.
headlight

This link isn't working now, but they usually have a bunch of images, and probably some with Euro lights.

Dont install these kits!

Installing HID lights in a Halogen reflector is not a good idea, the beam pattern will be shot.

If you have the US lamps your are in luck. Swap out your sealed beams or European 7" round replacements and install the Valeo BiXenon Projector lamps. They are not aval yet, but will soon.

With those drop in kits, you will loose your high beam, or they have some cheasy way of moving the light source.

If the Valeo lamps are not your thing, buy Euro 7 inch round lamps and remove the 5.75inch fogs. Install a 5.75 Euro high beam and rewire with relays to come on with the 7 inch round high beam. If you feel you still want fog lamps, install fog lamps under the bumper where they should be.

well, yeah...fog lamps should be lower than the headlamps to get under the fog better. But wire and material costs money, so sometimes they are kept closer to the headlamps. MBZ also have the largest headlamps in the industry, so they integrate the fogs to fill the extra space.

The W123 is one of the best cars for upgrading lighting. With a BiXenon projector low and high beam by Valeo in the outer 7inch rounds and the Cibie CSRs with up to 130 watt H1s for flash to pass and high beam, and a quality set of fog lamps under the massive front bumper, it is all quite impressive. Adding a rear fog is pretty simple too, just get a brake/turn/reverse socket from a junkyard benz(W123.W126 and I think W124 will work, pretty sure) a 18 gauge wire, bulb and wire to the stock switch on the dash and via!

Enjoy.

i believe my car still has the orginal headlights, and they are very decent... the highbeams are much better than almost any other cars' i have used (with the good-ole fashioned yellow-ish light) ;>
