I have an S600 2007, finally found one clean enough to buy! Drove it 4 hours home on the fuel in the tank. Parked it, next day I fueled up with engine off, gauge never moved from 1/4 tank.. I put 17 gallons in it. Funny thing is I’ve driven another 50+ miles and the gauge is going down from where it sits. I’d love to hear some tech info if anyone would not mind. Likely a defective fuel level sensor (more worn out than defective I'd guess.) Check out this thread for instructions.

W221 - Replace Left Fuel Level Sensor

Is it possible to replace the Left fuel level sensor without removing the fuel tank? Xentry code 225 "Left fuel level sensor has a short circuit to ground." I have removed the fuel filter and I can feel the fuel sensor "ball" way in the back of the tank, but there is no way to see it.
