Hi from the North Pennines in Northumberland, UK. My barn collapsed under 7 tonnes of snow last year damaging my 84 G Wagon and my 84 190d. Both have significant roof damage. The G has steel sunroof which is slightly twisted. Easiest option may be to cut the existing roof off and replace with one from a donor vehicle. Anyone have any experience of doing this? Any help will be much appreciateed as I hate going into the new bomb proof barn and looking at the G in the corner gathering dust.

It is not impossible, nothing is in this job and if you think it is then take a look at one of my threads;

A donor roof may not be the answer though, how much will a new roof section set you back? If it is financially viable then you will need a very good body shop man. Any pictures of the amount of damage?
