Me and my wife saw a cl-class today. This is the first time she see a CL class. The first word that came out of her mounth is 'oh my god', if we have money she will buy it. I told her that if she really want it, we can sell both of our's cars ( 99' Slk sport & 01' Clk 430)and she can buy the Cl. She said that she'll think about it. I really want her to do it. I rather own the Cl then two Mercedes. What do you guys think? Would guys do it. I saw two CL (white and black)on a used car lot at S.D dealership asking for $88,000 and $90,000. I hope she want to do this because this my dream car.

CL is a real looker but....

one car for two adults just doesn't work for me. Also, what kind of CL was it? The CL is beautiful but it is also more of a luxury car.

CL is ugly (looks like old 7 series)....

I think the CLK 55 is much more attractive than the CL. The CL is bigger, but I don't think its better. Unfortunately, the next generation CLK will probably be styled after it. I honestly think that if the CL was not more expensive than the CLK it would not be considered to be higher up on the Mercedes food chain than the CLK. The trim package on the CL AMG has way too much chrome and it just looks like an old man car.

Jim...what have you been "smoking"(but i do respect your opinion)..Well, we do need t....
if this deal go through which mean i gonna have to buy a little Honda to drive to work and drive the CL on the week weekend. I don't mind but the only down side is that now come 'car payment' still owe around $25,000 !!!!

The CL is a fantastic car, but I'd keep what you have!

Save your pennies and grab a CL 55 or a CL with the sport pkg. Personally I'd keep what you have!

Anthony
02 CLK 430

I'd probably save up a little more money.

Having two cars is nicer, trust me on this one. Right now you have two nice cars and no 25000 car note. Why not play it safe? You can always get a CL later on. My life was difficult until we got two cars.

Looking at them all...

I have seen every type of CL they make and in my opinion, they are ugly. But hey, I think all the chromed out lowered CLKs with 20' wheels are henous too so maybe the CL appeals to that crowd too.

O.K GUYS !!! My wife give it a go, so we are gonna go do this this Saturday......................
I check prices for trade-in on both of my car and the price were: 1999 Slk 230 sport with 58,000 miles and it had every option for that year. Trade-in is $24, 575. The other car is 2001 Clk 430 (Kelly Blue Book hvee no info for 2001 model yet, so i used 2000 model)and the trade-in $43,975. With this info, i'm gonna try to trade-in both car at least $1000 above what Kelly Blue Book said. What do you guys think? Will they take it. Both of my car are IN excellent condition.
Probably Not

I have not spoken to a Mercedes dealer yet that isn't quoting several thousand back of wholesale on trade-ins and then charging you full price on the new car. Your best bet is to sell them yourself.
