I am a college student and just bought a 1987 420sel for 2700...it has only 72,000 miles on it...its very comfy and a way better deal than I would get buying someones old jeep or somethin...i love MB's too.
I noticed I get 8 mpg's. I took it to a german car mechanic and had the oil changed, fuel filter changed and new plug wires...they said it wasn't running rich either...so i am driving it now expecting to get reasonable gas mileage but baaammmm i watch as the needle moves toward empty. I hope this isn't gonna cost alot to get up to par...i probably wont pass the smog inspection...what are the potential problems im lookin at here? anyone have an idea?
