Hi All,

Thanks for a great forum. I am new here and am looking to upgrade wheels on my 420SEL.

I am looking at what they call in Australia the "hammer" or "monoblock" style rims.

What is the ideal offset for a full look?

Thanks

Oz,

The AMG Monoblock II can be had in sizes up to 18" and widths up to 10".

Which offset you can use depends on the rim size you select, but as rule of thumb you'd be looking for sometihing with and offset (ET) of 25 or less.

This actually narrows down the field of available rims considerably, because later model Mercedeses use higher offsets (up to 47).

Thanks for your reply.

As a newbie, I basically have no clue about offset.

I wondered if someone could tell me what is the maximum and minimum offset for a 420 SEL?

Usually in other car forums there are STICKY threads containing answers to frequently asked questions.
