I need the size if the low pressure flare nut. I have 19mm crows foot but it's too small. I need to replace the rubber hose and I cannot get to the clamp, they were attached with the steel line removed and can't get an angle with nut drive or screw driver, so the line off box is the route. If your know, I appreciate it.

Hi 281,

I just looked at power steering box R&R in my W126 CDs and I see two crowsfoot wrenches listed on tools required. if my reading glasses haven't lost too too much accuracy here it looks as though the return side is the larger. A subsequent Google search tells me the sizes for each.

000 589 69 03 00 Crowfoot Wrench; 17mm; Delco R4 and A6
or
000 589 69 03 00 Long Crowfoot Wrench; 17mm; etc.

000 589 70 03 00 Crowfoot Wrench; 19mm; Delco R4 and A6

To further assist your project the included PDF capture shows the proper reassembly torque for these flare/compression fittings..

Cheers & Good Luck, MBL

I may have the lingo wrong flare or compression but I am referencing the steel line feeding the low pressure. It is the largest there and it consulted same page but did not search epc on part. My 19mm crowfoot did not fit. It is the largest I own so hoping someone knew as I want to buy one wrench not 7
