I have a ML55 AMG passed down from my Dad...the past few days the third light from the left keeps coming on when I brake. We got some more brake fluid in there hoping it would help, the light still comes on. What exactly does this light mean and what can I do???
Oh yeah, the manual is locked under the passenger seat-I don't have the key and my Dad lives 4 hours from me...
I appreciate any help/advice as I hate paying MB's outrageous prices!:crybaby2:

round yellow light with lines around the perimeter of the circle. There is always so much brake dust on the rims...also, the pads arent that old-I believe they were put in in October. Any idea where I can get indicator light meanings on the net?

Brake pad wear sensor(s) are making contact with the rotor and completing the electrical circuit to the dash light. Time to get your brake pads and rotors inspected.

It's definitely your Brake Pad Sensor turning on.
Neat little feature there. Sensors are installed onto the Brake Pad and when you hit the Brake, the Sensor touches the Metal Rotor and makes contact and issues a Warning.
You probably notice some squealing or decreased Brake performance.

You need new brake pads, new sensors and possibly new rotors.
A full inspection is recommended.

OBTW: get ready for the $$$ whopping repair bill $$

Cheap fix if you can do it yourself. The sensor's are $.83, pads around $50 set depending on what you want, rotors are around $ 40 each good ones are $80 or so.
Agreed; I did mine. :)
I did a DIY on it.
I replaced the Rotors, Sensors, Flushed the Entire Brake System, Rotated and Rebalanced all Four tires.
