Hello W124 Members I need help with my W210 that seems to have some parts grandfathered from W124s since I'm using an M104 straight six in my unit. Hope you folks can help.

  1. What is this part and its function. By the way, the green vacuum hose connector snapped off. I might have to glue it or change the round top cover with the vacuum hose connectors. Is this going to give me problems? So far the cars running. A little rough at cold but smoothness out later at working temp.

dunno. is that the ABS unit in the upper left edge? its on the opposite side of the engine compartment on a 124 from the washer fluid. looked some some sort of vacuum control valve, unless its the washer pump. on our 124s the washer pump(s) plug into the bottom front edge of the washer bottle.

it does look like a charcoal canister fuel vapor recovery valve. it kinda depends on where those vacuum hoses go, shouldn't be hard to follow.

Otherwise known as a canister purge valve. Should go to the only port on the throttle body, and the other end to the charcoal canister
