While workin on my 1991 500SL today I accidentally put some pressure on the camshaft Position Sensor or more precisely the cable that connects to it. I can't tell if I just broke the camshaft position sensor and some part of it is still stuck in the plug on the cable, see picture, or if I broke the plug too. According to mercedes that cable is part of a loom for like $900. The sensor itself is only $38 on autohausaz.com. Can someone please help me figure it out for me. So freakin frustrated right now. THANX in advance

I believe you broke just the sensor. Note that this sensor has no affect on a properly-running engine, so you can continue to drive the car until you install a replacement.

Thanx Bobterry, I feel much better now. I've ordered the sensor form autohausaz, so now I have just to pry out the remaining parts of sensor out of the plug without breaking it. Thanx again
