My wife spilled a really sticky cup of gas station coffee all over the center console of here '95 C280. I need to remove the console all around the shift knob to get it cleaned. Please tell me how to remove the center console. I can't find one screw exposed to begin the process. I hop I don't have to remove the dash first to get to it.

Please help fast. The smell is killing me!

1. take the plastic ring around the shift knob out
2. just pull up the center console!

Hi there, u should do what the previous member said. One tip to do it right is to pull on the plastic ring from the inner side of the back of it (outwards of course). after that u have to pull out the center console gently (try not to break it).
