No I bought 2nd hand online and replaced advised to dis onnect battery before I replace but still no luck, I was so annoyed I ended up putting soft top down manually but cannot secure back hinges now when closing just the rear pins, please help.
Did you get the code cleared with SDS?
I just bought 2nd hand off ebay and did this by disconnecting the battery first, as nothing worked i ended up taking roof off manually and when I went to close it all just the 2 back pins will not close back into place please help. Do I need to take to garage and get diagnostic plugged in and clear these faults first and then maybe all will work? Please help

You need to be sure all locks are open when manually putting the top up, if they are not you have to manually open them

This sounds like one or both of your rear locks are not open. As Fathertime mentioned you have to make sure these locks are open and they can be a little tricky. To manually open them you have to push up on them from below (see attachment pages 6 and 7) to fully open the lock and set the internal mechanical latch that keeps the lock open.

If one lock is closed stick a wedge in the open one cause they tend to close when you force open the closed one.
If an open lock is closing when manually opening the other closed locked that would indicate the open lock is not fully up with the internal latch/pawl set to keep the lock in an open position. If it is set correctly there should be no need to wedge it.
