Hi, been trying to change to 19in wheels and tires(winter) for my 07 GL500(european).
On the MB site it states for 19inch wheels to be 8.5Jx19R that take 275/55/19 tires.
I have found some used 19in wheels but they come with 265/55/R19 tires. Maybe they are from the ML? (which is given on the MB site as 8Jx19R).
Local tire dealer suggests also the Michelin latitude ALpin HP MO tires of 265/55/19 dimension.
By chance i saw another GL with Dunlops Grandtrek M3, again with 265/55/19.

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to put 265/55/19's as oppesed to 275/55's?

Also any input between the 2 tires? Dunlop or Michelin?

Thanks and sry for long post!

265 is just fine and will fit the rim no problem (even better comfort wise because of less rolling noise and more contact per cm2)
I had the 19 " 265 Winter Dunlops and they were perfect (excellent grip, low noise)
(I have 20'' Pirelli's now which came with the rims, no good at all, vibrations)
