Well I live in the northeast and it is beginning to be the coldest part of the year around here. I am stumpted on my 190e no heat issue.

Here is what I have found:

-new benz thermostat
-new benz coolant
-lines in and out of heater core are nice and hot
-blower works fine

The car will startup cold, with in 2 minutes I have heat. After 10 min of driving all of a sudden, the heat will die down sometimes slowly, other times quickly, and all I feel on my left hand is COLD air!

At this point I check the lines from the heater core, and they are nice and hot.

Any ideas? Maybe a blend door is broken? If so, would that be intermitten?
Please help, as it is beginning to be 30 deg. F mornings. (btw-the heat always was overpowering in this car before it acted up)

cool. i will check that. i have a vacuum gauge i can use to apply vacuum to the diaphram. hopefully i will find a disconnected line.

i was touching the core on both sides, so i know there is sufficient flow.

i will check the valve tomorrow (monday) afternoon if i get a chance and let you know the outcome.

thanks
