Help needed: Fan shroud blocking radiator removal - '88 420SEL
Hi y'all.
Gotta say - thanks for all the help I've been able to find so far. Recent new owner of the aforementioned 420SEL (my first MB) and this forum has already saved me multiple times.
I've searched everywhere I could think for some advice on this, but no luck:
Any tricks to getting the hose necks at the bottom of the radiator past the bottom of the fan shroud as it's pulled up and out? Tricks to the install to avoid damage? It's most difficult on the passenger side. I feel like this should be simple, but can't get the shroud positioned correctly to allow it to pass.
If I'm goofing on the search, please direct me to a link for the help. Many thanks in advance!
