So I went to change the fuel filter, but found the rubber-ish hangers shaped like d-rings (4 of them) holding the fuel pump assembly are dry-rotted.

I can't find these little buggers anywhere online.

Anybody know exactly what they're called or where to find them? I'll go to the dealer as a last resort.

I have only seen them at the dealer. Also check the ones holding on the muffler behind the bumper. They also wear out. I think they are less than $5 at the dealer. Not too bad.

Alright. I need to change the fuel pump assembly ones first, because I didn't change the fuel filter when I saw them.

I'll hit up the dealer tomorrow.

You're not really a W201 owner until you've had a muffler drop while driving and have sparks flying out from under the bumper. :D
