Hello everyone. I need some parts for my 1979 300 sd turbo diesel 116 chassis ASAP. I need the following: my first priority is Radiator!! so that's number one!. Radiator mounts, Power Steering pump PULLEY, AC condensor & fan, Fan Clutch, and Fan. Thank you very much. I hope to find some parts this week... crossing my fingers. :p

Parts are everywhere and relatively easy to find. Try Napa Autoparts, Kragen, Checker, or a local parts guy. I've had great luck with Napa for W108 parts.

Also, look at Adsitco.com, peachparts.com, or do a general google search for your car.

Avoid adsitco like a full cavity search.

I spent my friday going to 3 different pick n pull wrecking yards to only find a 116 450sel which had a completely different radiator than the diesel. And I also did not find a similar radiator on the 300cd models either for my 116 diesel... so the parts arent too common around here... unless i'm just not looking close enough. I located a used rad at a auto dismantler in oakland for 250... i think that's steep for a used... but if i have no other opions than... :crybaby2: So any help at all will be appreciated. I will check out those websites as well.

Gas W116 models vs. DIESEL W116

Most of the mechanical for A/C, cooling/transmission parts are NOT going to work. Trim parts, yes. Try the Classic Center in Irvine, CA if you really get stuck. 866-622-5277.

Another option is to have your present rad and oil cooler ra-cored. I haven't got a clue what the difference in price between a recore and new would be though.
